About PT-141 10mg

PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a cyclic heptapeptide derived from Melanotan II and acts as a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist (MC1R, MC3R, MC4R). Unlike PDE5 inhibitors, PT-141 acts centrally via the hypothalamus rather than on the vascular system. It was the basis for FDA-approved Vyleesi (bremelanotide), making it one of the few research peptides with a direct FDA approval pathway. NewChem's PT-141 is supplied at ≥99% HPLC purity.

Key Research Facts

  • Cyclic heptapeptide, non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist
  • Acts centrally (MC3R/MC4R) rather than via vascular mechanism
  • Parent compound of FDA-approved Vyleesi (bremelanotide)
  • Distinguished from MT2 by additional Pro residue in cyclic structure
