Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the endogenous tetrapeptide Tuftsin (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg). Developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Russia, it has been studied extensively in anxiety, stress, and cognitive research models. Selank appears to modulate GABAergic transmission and BDNF expression. Unlike benzodiazepines, Selank research models show anxiolytic effects without sedation or dependence. Supplied at ≥99% HPLC purity.
