KPV (Lys-Pro-Val) is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH). It retains the anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties of the parent peptide but is significantly smaller, allowing it to penetrate gut epithelial cells and reach intracellular targets. Research has studied KPV for its interaction with NF-κB signalling, IL-6 and TNF-α modulation, and intestinal inflammation models. It is frequently studied alongside BPC-157 in gut research protocols.
